Reset Your FAFSA Password

  1. Go to https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa

  2. Select 'Log In' on the right side of the screen.

  3. Select 'I am the student.'

  4. Click on 'Forgot Password.'

  5. You will be redirected to a new page where you can enter your username, phone number, or email address to reset your password. Additionally, provide your birthday information. Click 'Continue.'

  6. You will be prompted to reset your password. Using your new password, sign in to your account.

    • Answer my challenge question.

  6. Select your option, provide the verification information, and select 'Continue.'

  7. Your username will be displayed on the next screen. You can now sign in to your account.
